What Did You do in the Culture Wars?

from Double Negative by Down And Outs

/

about

Inspired by a real life incident when I overheard a fella working in Tesco that he thought that disabled people shouldn't be allowed in restaurants and should be banished to their own island. Calling someone a cunt in a supermarket wasn't how I wanted to start the day but none of us should tolerate this kind of thing when we happen upon it. Get involved - which side are you on?

lyrics

I can’t believe that the words were spoken
With such vigour that you must be broken

Are you feeling lonely
Are you feeling empty

To fill the air with unbridled hatred
And ignorance is a life wasted

Are you feeling lonely
Are you feeling empty

Words like these have got no place in this world today
Pricks like you have got no place in this world today
